A Different Frequency: Inside San Miguel’s First Boutique Sound Healing Studio

Crystal bowls, a quiet room and a new frequency. San Miguel’s first boutique sound healing studio.

In Mexico, sound is rarely neutral. The call of el fierro viejo moves slowly through the neighborhood. Banda spills from backyards, potentially until morning. Dogs bark across rooftops. Vendors call into the street. In San Miguel, church bells move through Centro at strange hours, fireworks break dawn, cowboy boots echo against stone, and music slips out from courtyards, cantinas, processions, private houses, and hidden rooms where something ceremonial may or may not be happening behind a carved wooden door.

For Larissa Noble, arriving in San Miguel was less a discovery than a recognition. The vibration was there before she had the language to name it, before she knew anything about the quartz crystal that run beneath this city’s surface. Her decision to move here was almost immediate. And she brought her practice with her.

What followed was Poser Creative, the first boutique sound healing studio of its kind in San Miguel de Allende. Located inside Casa De Los Olivos in the heart of Centro, the studio is intimate, refined, and built around the idea that sound can be something you enter, not just something you hear.

Not a Healer

In a city that is no stranger to wellness, ritual, spiritual language, and every possible version of transformation, Larissa is careful with the words around what she does.

She does not call herself a healer.

Instead, she uses the bowls to channel frequencies and make them accessible to everyone. She creates the conditions for something to shift, then allows the sound to do what sound does: move through the body before the mind has time to decide what it believes.

When she found herself in a position to learn to play the bowls herself, something aligned. That is the word she uses. Not casually, but precisely. Aligned, as though the bowl and the body already knew each other.

The bowls she uses are Crystal Tones® Alchemy Bowls, made from pure quartz crystal and infused with minerals, metals, and gemstones. Each one carries its own tone, texture, and resonance. Practitioners describe them as capable of shifting the energetic field of a room. And if you have experienced a Poser Creative sound bath, you understand the claim before you need to explain it.

But Larissa is not trying to convince anyone. The bowls do not require certainty. They only ask for presence.

The Frequency of It All

For Larissa, sensitivity to sound and frequency was always there, something she carried long before she had a name for it.

After losing her father, then her sister shortly after, all while moving through the exhaustion of corporate burnout, Larissa reached a point where the life she had built no longer felt sustainable.

She had been a sound bath client for more than a decade before becoming a certified sound practitioner and launching Poser Creative in 2022, carrying into it not only her relationship with sound, but also her background in fashion design, and love for fitness, architecture, and travel.

Sound became the practice she could actually reach.

The bowls did not ask her to arrive the way meditation does. No clear mind, no perfect focus, no sitting still without resistance. You can be anxious. Distracted. Exhausted. You can even fall asleep, which often happens, and still feel something change in the body by the end. The frequency moves through you regardless.

The sensitivity she had once treated as a liability, she came to understand differently. It was not a flaw. It was perception. A finely tuned instrument misread as interference, now part of the way she began moving through grief.

A Room That Edits

Poser Creative is a creative studio as much as a sound healing one.

Larissa’s practice moves through several forms: private sessions, small-group sound baths, workshops, trainings, events, and a tightly edited collection of pieces made in collaboration with Mexican artisans. Her website also frames Poser Creative through Casa Poser, a Crystal Sound Bowl Studio in Centro and the first Crystal Tones® Alchemy Bowl temple in San Miguel de Allende.

Nothing in the space feels accidental.

The room does not overwhelm. It edits. It leaves space. It understands that atmosphere is built as much by what is removed as by what is placed.

That is where the “Creative” in Poser Creative becomes important. The studio is not only about sound. It is about the full environment around the experience: the objects, the light, the materials, the pace, the way a room prepares you before the first note is played.

You will find it inside Casa De Los Olivos, the boutique hotel in the heart of Centro, a quiet answer to the city that is no stranger to sound outside its walls. Poser Creative also offers sound bowl training, including workshops held inside Casa Poser Studio at Casa Olivos.

Her approach extends beyond the studio, too. Through Sound For Sport™, Poser Creative treats sound as a recovery practice for the body, with post-workout meditations designed for energetic recovery, mind, body, and spirit.

Soon, the space will also become the setting for small, intimate retreats: a handful of people at a time, held inside the same quiet architecture of sound, design, and intention.

A person lies down. The room quiets. The first note begins.

Something loosens.

That may be enough.

Poser Creative is located now at San Francisco 41, Centro 37700 in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. The studio offers private sessions, small-group sound baths, workshops, trainings, events, Crystal Tones® Alchemy Bowls, Sound For Sport™, and a curated boutique collection made in collaboration with Mexican artisans. Intimate retreats are forthcoming.
